SPECIAL POST: “A Day in the Life” of Bundy & Yianni on the Cruise Ship Zuiderdam.

Many of you are wondering what a typical day looks like for Bundy (Nicholas Drinias) and Yianni (John Golfin) as they island-hop their way around the Caribbean aboard the cruise ship “Zuiderdam” filming the up-and-coming blockbuster comedy-documentary “AI CARABBINA 2026” !!!

The overall convention for the location of personal items is LEFT = BUNDY and RIGHT = YIANNI in accordance with our beds !!! this left-right convention applies to all things: bathroom toiletries location, fridge drinks, day-pack location, clothes cupboards etc…

 

Well, here is what each island-hopping day looks like followed by a photo of the ship cabin that doubles as the Golfco Pictures Cabin Studio to bring the next film to life…

 

6:00 to 7:00am: Yianni wakes up to do bathroom followed by recovery exercises in room for a groin injury before trip.

 

6:45 to 7:00am: Bundy wakes up to do bathroom.

 

7:00 to 7:15am: Bundy gets Lattes and Croissants and Salmon (for afternoon drinks) from dining hall & Yianni packs electronics after overnight charging (Camera, Mikes, Go-Pro, Drone).

 

7:15 to 8:00am: Bundy & Yianni line-up to be first off ship and first to car hire office to maximise time on shore.

 

8:00 to 9:00am: Walk to or be picked up by car hire company & complete all paperwork.

 

9:00am (in UN Country): Yianni goes for his defining run & Bundy walks from & back to parked hire car.

 

9:00am (Territory) or 10:00am (UN Country) to 2:30pm (Ship leaving 3:30pm) or 3:30pm (Ship leaving 4:30pm):

·          Bundy & Yianni drive around to multiple attractions researched & located in ORGANIC MAPS by Yianni in March 2025.

·          ORGANIC MAPS is like Google Maps but does not require internet & guides us to each place.

·          Golfco Pictures Film must cover D-I-D = Drone-Interview-Dagdance !!!

·          Drone is usually half-way along island, typically at the beach we will swim at.

·          Interview is usually with the car hire person at car pickup.

·          Dagdance is in front of a geographical or historical feature that characterises that island.

·          All stops at all attractions will feature photos (for blog that night) and clips (for film in Australia).

 

2:30pm or 3:30pm: Drop-off hire car and head to ship for boarding. Spend next hour unpacking, cleaning and setting up for next day followed by shower by Yianni only.

 

3:30pm to 6:30pm or 4:30pm to 7:30pm: Yianni produces blog offline by culling & cleaning photos (typically keeping 1 in 4 photos) & completing text in MS-WORD. Bundy will go to ship gym for 10km walk on treadmill followed by shower. Bundy will return in 1hr to start wine, olives & cheese with Yianni until blog is ready.

 

6:30pm or 7:30pm: Bundy & Yianni go to dinner & stay in dining room to: post blog & social media, answer emails & review itinerary for next day.

 

8:30pm or 9:30pm: Back to cabin to watch movie or VEEP !!!

 

10pm or 10:30pm: Sleep Sleep Sleep !!!

 

Bundy & Yianni keep wine in plastic non-see-through drinking yoghurt containers in their cabin fridge. Olives are purchased from the same supermarkets as the wine refills since the ship’s olives are shit. Cheese is from the ship & collected along with fruit (for island), cold cut meats or smoked salmon (for blog) from the previous night’s dinner.

 

Bundy & Yianni wear clothes only made from polyester or nylon or spandex (NOT cotton or wool) so we will wash them on our bodies when showering & hang them up to dry overnight under our cabin aircon which has a plate of holes big enough for coat hangers.

STOP PRESS:

On the evening of 15JAN Bundy and Yianni received an upgrade to a balcony room on the 8^th Level (same deck as bridge and highest accommodation level on the ship). This was due to a leak in our bathroom and excessive late-night noise in the galley above our old room. The new room has terrific views over the ocean. When you see the photos below you will wish you were here with us !!! Bah Ha Ha Ha !!!
